Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to support maintenance activities within an industrial/petrochemical environment. Position Overview The Maintenance Mechanical Engineer will provide technical expertise in troubleshooting equipment failures, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment reliability , while supporting maintenance teams, work packages, and plant operations. Key Responsibilities • Act as a technical expert for equipment failures, repairs, and troubleshooting . • Provide engineering support for plant issues affecting production. • Evaluate defective equipment and recommend appropriate repair and corrective actions . • Review repair requirements, including clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures , and related technical requirements. • Develop and maintain appropriate repair techniques and equipment-specific maintenance procedures . • Support the review and identification of spare parts required for existing equipment. • Contribute to maintenance strategies and maintenance operating discipline . • Provide engineering input to projects, particularly regarding equipment maintainability . • Support the development of maintenance budgets and maintenance plans. • Provide engineering input to work packages and work orders , particularly for critical equipment. • Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues. • Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable EH&S, quality, and safety requirements . • Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other relevant teams to maintain reliable plant operation.
